Can I use my HDFC Easyshop International Debit card to make an internet purchase?

I%26#039;m trying to purchase a web-hosting package from yahoo, and I don%26#039;t have a credit card. I do have a debit card, but I%26#039;m not being able to make the purchase.

I heard one can%26#039;t make internet payments through a debit card (supposedly one needs a credit card). Is it true?

In case you don%26#039;t have a credit card you can opt for the direct debit facility offered by hdfc bank, you need to authorise the transaction using your net banking id and password.

Also there is a facility in your funds transfer page which allows you to make payment to any visa card.
