I would like to setup multiple logins for my website to provide secure content, what is the easiest

I would like to setup a community web site to provide 閳ユ笡ublic閳?data as well as 閳ユ笡rivate閳?data to my neighbors. I can code HTML, setup the site, etc. but I have not setup login/password functionality on a web site. Any help would be appreciated.

I will be using Dreamweaver and my web host allows for PHP, CGI and Perl (www.namecheap.com).

Thanks in advance...

Use php, and a database such as mysql to store usernames %26amp; passwords.

Here%26#039;s one approach -

Do a search for %26quot;php mysql authentication%26quot; for more.

I use a free website script called e107. You can set differant levels of access. There are tons of designs and it is loaded with features. Look at my site noblesville.org for an idea. I have one of the basic designs, but there are hundreds for free.

Other Replys:most secure way is enable protection from your webhost provider. Then Edit the .htaccess file.. There are some javascripts available to do protection but when the user knows the link they can go directly there. So thats not secure afterall... :) Good Luck.

Other Replys:Now learn PHP and mysql, else you may contact a PHP expert live at website like http://oktutorial.com/ .

Other Replys:There are multiple free content management systems that can do this. I%26#039;ve tried several (Joomla, Mambo, WordPress, Typo3, and others) and always come back to the one that is king of them all, Drupal...
