Can I move my domian with uk2.net to another site that offers very cheap web hosting. I do not have webhosting yet. only the domain with that website

The domain is completely separate to the web hosting service (unless you signed some weird contract). But typically, you will always keep the same domain you originally bought until it expires. And during that time you can change web hosts as much as you like.

But once you find a web host you like, it%26#039;s a good idea to stick w/ them as long as you can - then you don%26#039;t have to keep moving your files around.

Other Replys:just use godaddy,com you can create not only as many domains as you want. but also transfer your domains you currently have from another place to them for $6.99 each. you also can use services such as website tonight that they own to create your custom site. make an account with godaddy first then find the transfer domain link in the menu. then jsut follow the instructions. it will take about 48 hours or less to transfer. ive used thise site for years and still haven%26#039;t gottn a chance you take adavantage of all the features it has.

Other Replys:Yes. Find a new host company and get in touch with them. Ask them to help you set up your domain through their hosting company. Every good hosting company will handle most of the transfer process. (MAKE SURE YOUR LISTED AS THE ADMIN OF YOUR DOMAIN NAME,MEANING YOUR THE LEGAL OWNER if not you%26#039;ll end up screwed ) (like me) :)

Other Replys:A domain is just the name and your host is where your website files are. Look at it as the host as a piece realestate like a brick and mortor store and the domain would be the sign that hangs in front of that store.

Since you dont have hosting currently this will be pretty simple. Order your host and they will send you a welcome email with DNS setting that look similar to this ns1.host.com. You will need to log in to your Domain Registrar and put these addresses in the DNS settings area. Contact your registrar if you are not familiar where this is at.

One thing about cheap hosting. Be carful if you are paying almost nothing for hosting. Problems

The new company will tell you what their %26quot;DNS servers%26quot; are, then contact uk2.net to find out how to change them (hopefully you can do it online, or they may have to do it for you manually).

Hosting and domain registration are two separate entities.
